Pedal Car Part 1

What has Doug been up to lately?

It may not be wood related but he’s working on fixing up this old pedal car for me. 

It is coming along nicely.

Thank you so much for doing it for me.

We’re not going with original wheels …

Just getting it put back together …

Smoothed out …

Puttied …

Primed and painted.

We’ll keep you posted on the progress.

The New Addition ... Jointer Planer

Doug has a new addition to his workshop!

He now has a Jointer Planer!

He is very excited to add this to the workshop.

One of the things that he is going to be doing is 

some custom framing for our artwork.

Can't wait to see what will be coming next!

The Second Project ...

Another Scroll Saw project!!!

This was his second one.

This one has been done for a little while.

It's awaiting either stain or a paint job.  

He hasn't decided for sure yet.

It measures 17 x 14 inches 

He plans to make a hen or two and some chicks to go with it.

They will be yard ornaments when they are all finished.

It is so fun to see what he comes up with next.

He is already working on his next project ...

no ...

it is not a chicken or rooster.

(wink)

First Project with the Scroll Saw

The first project with the new scroll saw.

A weather vane rooster!

First he drew it out on a piece of paper.

Then he headed back to the shop room and sat down at the saw.

I heard the buzzing of the saw ...

My nose felt the tickle of sawdust in the air ...

And then this is what emerged.

I like it!

Now it just needs to be painted or stained.
